Abstract:
This method for controlling charging power and that is for charging a storage battery has: a step for measuring the room-mean-square value of the power of a storage battery that is being charged and for which a "limit value" and "requested power" are set ahead of time; a step for determining whether or not the measured root-mean-square value is monotonically decreasing; a step for resetting the values of the limit value and requested power, in one example, to the same value as the root-mean-square value when the root-mean-square value is decreasing; a step for storing the re-set limit value and requested power; a step for then continuing charging of the storage battery at the re-set limit value; a step for performing limited charging during the charging of the storage battery; and a step after releasing from limited charging for setting the limit value to the stored requested power and restarting charging.
