Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of suppressing NOx generation during combustion operation when fuel is combusted in a plurality of radiant tube burners, which are arranged side by side along the direction of travel of a strip which travels in a heat treating furnace, as well as appropriately preventing soot deposition in the radiant tube burners. With respect to combustion of fuel by supplying the fuel and combustion air to a plurality of radiant tube burners (20) arranged side by side along the direction of travel of a strip (1) which travels in a heat treating furnace (10), a combustion control device (50) for separately controlling combustion and stop thereof in the radiant tube burners is provided to switch the radiant tube burners in which combustion is stopped so that the air ratio μ of the combustion air supplied during combustion operation is reduced and so that only the combustion air is supplied when combustion is stopped, thereby removing soot.
