Abstract:
A control method for feeding a paper from a hopper of a cut sheet feeder mounted on a printer to meet the paper-feed speed of the printer. A correction signal (S1) of a predetermined pulse width is received from the printer side, the pulse width of the correction signal is substituted for a counted value of clock signal of a control unit (25) in the cut sheet feeder and is compared with a predetermined standard value to find a difference in order to detect deviation relative to a standard frequency of clock signal frequency of the control unit (25) of the cut sheet feeder side. The difference between the counted value of clock signals and the standard value is added to a drive control value for standard speed of the stepping motor (4) and a corrected drive control value is obtained in order to correct the drive speed of the stepping motor which is a source of drive for feeding the paper. Upon receipt of a paper feed instruction (Sf) from the printer side, the stepping motor is driven using the corrected drive control value.
