Abstract:
A direction indicator (20) commences blinking due to an operation performed by the driver of a host vehicle and automatically turns off after a first blinking time has elapsed. When a host vehicle automatically changes lanes due to an operation performed by the driver, a control device (100) is used to extend the blinking time to a second blinking time that is longer than the first blinking time and automatically turn off the direction indicator (20).
