Abstract:
A method for controlling a dryer, which includes a heat pump system as a heat source for heating air to be supplied to a drum, according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: selecting one operation mode from multiple operation modes that are different in frequency at which a compressor is initially driven, and inputting a drying start command to the dryer, by a user [S10]; checking an external temperature and comparing the external temperature with a predetermined reference temperature (T) by a control unit [S20]; when the external temperature is higher than or equal to the reference temperature (T), performing, by the control unit, the operation mode selected by the user [S45]; and when the external temperature is lower than the reference temperature (T), determining, by the control unit, that the driving environment of the dryer corresponds to a low temperature state, and performing the operation mode in which the compressor is initially driven at the highest frequency, among the multiple operation modes [S50].
