Abstract:
Provided are a method for controlling a flash discharge lamp, whereby mistaken light emission can be confirmed prior to a main discharge, and a flash heating device. A method for controlling a flash discharge lamp for emitting light in a flash, said method including a step (A) for initiating start control of the flash discharge lamp, a step (B) for performing control so that a discharge circuit of the flash discharge lamp repeats an energizing state and a non-energizing state after execution of the step (A), and a step (C) for detecting light emission by the flash discharge lamp or discharge to the flash discharge lamp in the step (B).
