Abstract:
A hot press device (12) provided with a plurality of heat plates (11) subjected to temperature control comprises: temperature sensors (20, 25, 28, 34) that detect the temperature of the heat plates (11) or a flow channel for supplying and discharging a heat medium to and from the heat plates (11); a setting device (41) that sets an overheating prevention temperature (B) which defines the upper-limit temperature during the temperature control of the heat plates (11) in accordance with a molded product (W) or a molding condition (S); and a control device (15) that ceases or suspends the temperature control of the heat plates (11) when the values directly or indirectly detected by the temperature sensors (20, 25, 28, 34) become greater than or equal to the overheating prevention temperature. Thus, provided are a method for controlling a hot press device and the hot press device, each of which enable a countermeasure that is for when overheating of the heat plates occurs and that is in accordance with a molded product or a molding condition.
