Abstract:
A method for controlling an internal combustion engine 3 which provides power to drive an electric power generating motor 4, wherein a damper 30 is provided on a power transmission path between the internal combustion engine 3 and the electric power generating motor 4, and wherein a maximum value of the amount of torque variation caused in the event of a misfire in a cylinder is greater than a value at which it is possible to limit, using a counter-torque of the electric power generating motor 4, a displacement of a main damper 30a of the damper 30 to less than a displacement that results in a contact with a first stopper 31a. The method comprises limiting a torque Te of the internal combustion engine 3 to within a range in which it is possible to control, using the counter-torque of the electric power generating motor 4, a displacement of the main damper 30a to be less than a displacement at which a contact with the first stopper 31a results.
