Abstract:
According to one embodiment, provided are a method for controlling a laundry treatment apparatus, and the laundry treatment apparatus, the method comprising the steps of: executing a water supply period during which a first predetermined amount of wash water is provided; and executing, for a predetermined first time, a washing period during which laundry accommodated in a drum of the laundry treatment apparatus is washed in a state in which the first amount of wash water has been provided, wherein the washing period includes a first washing motion period during which washing force is to be imparted in the vertical direction on laundry, and a second washing motion period during which washing force is to be imparted in the horizontal direction on laundry.
