Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for controlling the motor of an electric screwdriver for medical use, and an apparatus using the same. The method of the present invention for controlling the motor of an electric screwdriver for medical use, wherein while the RPM of a motor is maintained at an equal speed by the PWM control mode, its duty value is adjusted to control operation of the motor, comprises: (a) a step wherein the RPM of the motor is sensed to provided feedback as an electrical signal; (b) a step wherein the RPM of the motor that was sent as feedback is checked to adjust the duty value so that the motor will rotate at the preset RPM; (c) a step wherein the torque value generated from the motor according to the RPM and duty value of the motor is calculated by querying the torque database wherein torque values generated from the motor in response to the RPM and duty value of the motor have been saved as feedback on a real time basis; and (d) a step wherein the calculated torque value is displayed on the display part installed on the motor driver. According to the present invention, a user can recognize the torque value of a medical motor driver in real time and check for changes in a torque value over time, thus preventing medical accidents caused by an abrupt change in torque.
