Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for controlling a particulate filter (6) provided on an internal combustion engine exhaust line (1), which consists in triggering the actuation of means assisting the filter (6) regeneration in accordance with predetermined criteria, for example when the filter (6) particles are loaded beyond a threshold value. The invention is characterised in that the parameters of the operating conditions of said regeneration-assisting means, such as duration or intensity, are adjusted in accordance with the development of the filter regenerating process.
