Abstract:
A method for controlling the power consumption of a mobile phone, and a mobile phone, belonging to the field of smart phones. The method comprises: recording a power consumption threshold of a mobile phone when the screen thereof is off, and recording an application program the mobile phone needs to keep running (S101); and determining whether the screen of the mobile phone is currently off (S102): if not, remaining unchanged (S103), if so, determining whether the current power consumption of the mobile phone is higher than the power consumption threshold when the screen is off (S104): if not, remaining unchanged (S105), if so, closing all application programs except the application program the mobile phone needs to keep running (S106). By means of monitoring the power consumption of a mobile phone when the screen thereof is off, and once the power consumption when the screen is off is higher than a preset power consumption threshold, closing the corresponding mobile phone application programs, the invention enables the mobile phone to automatically save power.
