Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling the rotational speed of an engine (30) for an industrial vehicle which includes controllers (50, 70, 85, 95) each incorporating therein a memory (72), and is configured with a first system in which, when a highest vehicle speed set by a highest vehicle speed setting means (56, 58, 76) connected to the controllers (50, 70, 85, 95) is not reached, a target RPM equivalent to a value of depression of an accelerator as detected from a depression value detecting means (52) for an accelerator pedal (44) is read out of the memory (72) and an opening of a throttle valve (36) of a carburator (32) is controlled through an actuator (38) so as to attain the target RPM thus read out, and a second system in which, when the above-described highest vehicle speed thus set is reached, the upper limit target RPM of the engine (30) corresponding thereto is read out of the memory (72) and an opening of the throttle valve (36) is controlled through the actuator (38) so as to attain the upper limit target RPM thus read out.
