Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a slime control method which not only can control slime in a paper- and pulp- manufacturing process but also can inhibit the corrosion of a facility for an aqueous paper pulp system. This slime control method comprises adding a sulfamic acid compound or a salt thereof, or alternatively both a chlorine-based oxidizing agent and a sulfamic acid compound or a salt thereof to the water that is to be fed to an aqueous paper pulp system into which an inorganic oxidative bactericide is to be added. It is preferable to add a mixture of a chlorine-based oxidizing agent with a sulfamic acid compound or a salt thereof to the water which is to be fed into the aqueous paper pulp system.
