Abstract:
The present application discloses a method for controlling traffic in a packet network, and the method can effectively reduce network congestion and transmission delay. In said method, before sending C data messages, a sending end sends, by means of a control channel, control messages corresponding to the C data messages. Upon receipt of messages fed back by a receiving end, corresponding to the control messages, the sending end learns that a data channel corresponding to the control channel allows for the sending of the C data messages. The sending end sends the C data messages by means of the data channel. Upon receipt of the control messages from the sending end, an intermediate node between the sending end and the receiving end sends, according to a preset duration, a control message in a control queue. After completing the sending of one control message in the control queue, the intermediate node sends the C data messages in a data queue. The intermediate node controls the rhythm of sending the data messages by means of the rhythm of sending the control messages.
