Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for coupling pipes, comprising: a step of inserting pipes (1) into respective pipe-shaped coupling members (10), the outer surfaces of which have male threads (12), and welding the pipes (1) and the coupling members (10) together; a step of preparing a coupler (20) having a protrusion (22) formed at the inner center thereof, and having female threads (21) formed on both sides of the protrusion (22) at the inner surface of the coupler (20) such that the female threads (21) engage with the male threads (12); a step of fitting packing (30) to both sides of the protrusion (22) of the coupler (20); and a step of inserting the coupling members (10), in which the pipes (1) are respectively welded, into both sides of the interior of the coupler (20), and enabling the male threads (12) on the outer surfaces of the coupling members (10) and the female threads (21) on the inner surface of the coupler (20) to engage with one another so as to couple the connection members (10) and the coupler (20) together.
