Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for creating and a method for decoding a two-dimensional colour code. The two-dimensional code comprises a guide code section, which has a coding scheme in which reading and decoding are simple, and a data recording code section, which has a coding scheme in which recording at high density is possible. It is possible to determine with high accuracy and in a short amount of time the positions of measurement pixels, which are used to determine the colours of cells in the data recording code section, in order to achieve multicolouring and reduction of cells used for recording electronic data in two-dimensional colour code at high density. The positions of the measurement pixels are determined by determining and decoding the position of the data recording code section by means of the reading and decoding of the guide code section performed by an image receiving device, and by obtaining numerical information such as cell numbers, for example, that is required to reduce processing time. In addition, the positions of the measurement pixels are shifted if there is a decoding error and the error is corrected. Furthermore, determination of the usage colours of the cells is not performed by comparing the colours of the cells with reference colours displayed at the periphery of the two-dimensional code, but by quantizing the colours of pixels within the cells to usage colours, and recording density can therefore be increased while the accuracy of the determination of cell colour is maintained.
