Abstract:
This method for cutting a tube glass G2 includes a crack forming step of focusing and directing laser light L to the inside of the tube glass G2 to form a crack on the inside of the tube glass G2 by multiphoton absorption that occurs in an illuminated area of the laser light L. The crack forming step allows the crack C to advance inside the tube glass G2 by causing the position of focus of the laser light L to move from an inner face G2b side to an outer face G2a side inside the tube glass G2.
