Abstract:
A method according to the present invention provides a hot metal having a P concentration of 1.9 to 3.8 mass% and a Cr concentration of less than 0.2 mass% by supplying an oxygen source to a hot metal having a P concentration of 2 to 4 mass% and a Cr concentration of 0.3 to 1.2 mass% for dechromization under a condition where a slag basicity (CaO mass%)/(SiO2 mass%) is adjusted to greater than 0.1 and not more than 1 and the hot metal temperature is adjusted to be within the range of 1250°C to 1500°C.
