Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for depositing on a substrate at least one metal oxide coating, said metal oxide coating being produced by depositing on the substrate a colloidal solution (sol) of a metal hydroxide then forming said metal oxide by pyrolysis of the gel obtained from said colloidal solution. The invention is characterized in that the colloidal solution is deposited on the substrate in thixotropic state. The invention is in particular applicable to the catalysis of reactions in liquid or gas phase on solids.
