Abstract:
The invention provides an HTFS (high-throughput functional screening) system by which SEDDS (self-emulsifying drug delivery system) formulations containing viscous-liquid, semisolid or solid ingredients can be prepared and evaluated at a low cost and speedily. More specifically, the invention provides a method for the design of self-emulsifying drug formulations which comprises the step (a) of diluting a viscous-liquid, semisolid or solid ingredient with a diluent solvent to prepare a dilute solution of the ingredient and the step (b) of pouring the dilute solution and other components into test vessels in such a way that the kinds and/or amounts of the ingredient and components added are different among the vessels to prepare test mixtures.
