Abstract:
A method for designing of a cylinder device that is provided between two objects disposed above and below and which operate in a relative fashion, and that accommodates a hydraulic fluid and a porous body having pores to function as a colloidal damper, wherein a reference cracking pressure Pintr' as a measure of the cracking pressure Pintr, which is the pressure inside a chamber when hydraulic fluid begins to flow into the pores of the porous body, is set in accordance with the weight of the object positioned above, of two objects that operate in a relative fashion, and a reference pore diameter d' (= 2∙r') as the measure of the pore diameter d of the porous body is determined on the basis of an equilibrium formula Pintr = -2∙σ∙cosθin/r (where σ is the surface tension of the hydraulic fluid, and θin is the contact angle at the time of hydraulic fluid penetration) between the internal pressure P of the chamber and the internal pressure of the pores of the porous body.
