Title:
METHOD FOR DESIGNING FRICTION BETWEEN SLIDING MEMBERS, METHOD FOR MANAGING SURFACE ROUGHNESS, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SLIDING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/215050
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In the present invention, the sliding friction that occurs between sliding surfaces of two sliding members lubricated with a lubricant can be accurately estimated. A friction designing method which defines a coefficient of friction μ in a model of sliding surfaces corresponding to the mutual sliding surfaces of two sliding members (2, 3) lubricated with a lubricant (Step S1), determines the correlation between the coefficient of friction μ and an oil film parameter (Λ (Rk) or Λ(Rk+Rpk)) provided as a parameter indicating a surface roughness in the model of sliding surfaces and computed using the core roughness depth (Rk) or the sum of the core roughness depth (Rk) and the reduced peak height (Rpk) (Step S2), and, on the basis of the correlation, defines a target value for the surface roughness of the sliding surfaces to be managed for the product (Steps S3 to S6).
