Abstract:
This method for designing an optical spectrum is for a display device having a color display pixel configured from a plurality of pixels including a first pixel, which displays a first color, and a second pixel, which displays a second color that differs from the first color. The method for designing an optical spectrum contains: a step (S1) for setting a first target brightness and first target chromaticity coordinate, which are the brightness and chromaticity coordinate that are the objective with respect to the first color, and a second target brightness and second target chromaticity coordinate, which are the brightness and chromaticity coordinate that are the objective with respect to the second color; and a step (S2) for performing a calculation relating to the optical spectrum on the basis of at least the first target brightness, the first target chromaticity coordinate, the second target brightness, the second target chromaticity coordinate, and the chromaticity coordinates of a plurality of points positioned on a first line linking the first target chromaticity coordinate and the second target chromaticity coordinate.
