Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for designing a thin-walled casting product, which is hollow and thin, and a thin-walled casting product manufactured therethrough. The method for designing a thin-walled casting product of the present invention comprises the steps of: determining the arrangement direction of the casting product by taking into consideration the injection direction of a casting and the position of a dead head; defining the bottom surface of the thin-walled casting product as the injection direction of the casting and the top surface of the thin-walled casting product as the direction in which the dead head is positioned; setting the top surface wall thickness in the direction in which the dead head is positioned to be greater than the bottom surface wall thickness in the injection direction of the casting; and inducing directional solidification by setting the wall thickness of the side wall, which connects the bottom surface and the top surface, to increase gradually from the bottom surface to the top surface.
