Abstract:
The present invention provides a method that allows a plurality of samples containing aldehydes or ketones to be simultaneously separated and detected in a simple and rapid manner by using a rotary microdevice capable of integrating the derivatization and TLC separation of aldehydes and ketones. According to the present invention, after sequentially introducing samples and eluents onto a TLC plate by rotational force, uniform dispersion of the eluents, as the eluents are moved through an absorbent pad, enables the samples to be reliably separated by TLC, wherein the speed at which the solvents move by TLC can be controlled through controlling the intensity of the rotational force. Moreover, after initial separation of the samples, residual solvents in TLC can be dried by rotation, and introducing of the eluents and TLC separation may be repeated by repeatedly applying rotational force, to improve TLC resolution.
