Abstract:
Provided is a method for detecting the height of a molten material in a furnace having a discharge hole for discharging the molten material to a furnace lower section, wherein: a discharge distance of the molten material discharged from the discharge hole is measured; the discharge distance, the height of the discharge hole, and the discharge angle of the molten material are used to calculate a discharge velocity of the molten material discharged from the discharge hole; and the discharge velocity is used to detect the height of the molten material.
