Abstract:
A method for detecting an internal short-circuited cell according to various embodiments comprises the steps of: periodically generating voltage values and current values of respective multiple battery cells which are electrically connected to each other between a first and a second terminal and being used; updating, in real time, a G parameter value and an H parameter value obtained by digitizing respective G parameter and H parameter which indicate current states of the respective battery cells, from the voltage values and the current values of the respective battery cells by using an adaptive filter; calculating a G parameter representative value and an H parameter representative value which represent the G parameter value and the H parameter value of the battery cells, respectively; and determining whether an internal short circuit has occurred in each of the battery cells, on the basis of the G parameter value, the H parameter value, the G parameter representative value, and the H parameter representative value of each of the battery cells. The G parameter is a parameter indicating a sensitivity of voltage for a change in current of the battery cell, and the H parameter is a parameter indicating an effective potential determined by a resistance distribution and a distribution of a local equilibrium potential within the battery cell.
