Abstract:
This method for detecting the presence/absence of liquid suctioned by a syringe pump comprises, in the stated order: a step for detecting a change in capacitance between a pair of electrodes provided in a cylindrical syringe of a syringe pump that causes a piston inside the syringe to move in the axial direction of the syringe; and a step for detecting that liquid has been suctioned by the syringe pump on the basis of the change in the capacitance.
