Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for detecting manipulations on a value and/or security document, in which at least one image (15) is applied on a data carrier (11) by means of a laser device, which image consists of a plurality of image points, to which grey, brightness, or color values are assigned, wherein, in the image (15) to be applied, at least one zone (22) is formed which is free of image points from the actual image to be applied, and additional information comprising at least one security feature (21) is introduced into the at least one zone (22) in an evaluation unit. The security feature has one or more graphic or geometric laser structures which deviate from the image points of the image (15) to be applied, wherein at least one graphic and/or geometric laser structure (23) is optically detected and compared to at least one security feature which was applied during the application of the image (15) to produce the data carrier (11).
