Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method for detecting a network attack, and a communication apparatus. In the method, an NWDAF network element subscribes, from an NRF network element, to a change in the state of a network function (e.g. a UPF). After a hacker has tampered with instance information of a certain network function, the NRF network element receives an NF state update message from the network function, and the NF state update message carries changed instance information of the network function. The NRF network element notifies the NWDAF network element of a change in the instance information of the network function. Furthermore, the NWDAF network element determines, by means of calling a management service that is between same and an NSSMF/OAM, whether instance information of the network function that is saved on the NSSMF/OAM is consistent with the changed instance information of the network function. If the instance information is not consistent, it can be determined that the network function may face a security risk of a network attack.
