Abstract:
A method of detecting an open window for use with an air purifier comprises: determining that the air purifier is in operation; detecting, for a preconfigured period of time, carbon dioxide in the current environment, and computing a change rate of the carbon dioxide; and determining, according to an increase or decrease of the change rate, whether a window is open. Also provided is a device capable of detecting an open window and for use with an air purifier. The method and device resolve a problem of a resource waste resulting from leaving an air purifier turned on when a window is open.
