Abstract:
Provided are a method and a kit for the accurate and rapid detection of ten types of pneumonia bacteria that are the subject of detection, including Streptococcus pneumonia
e, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Clamidophila pneumoniae, Legionella pneumoniae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Moraxella catarrhalis, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and Staphylococcus aureus. A primer pair set corresponding to each target region contained in the DnaJ gene, etc., of the ten types of pneumonia causative bacteria is designed for each of the ten bacterial strains, and a gene product is amplified using the related primer pair set. A probe pair set is also designed for each individual bacterial strain, the probe pair set being different from the primer pair set and hybridizing with the related amplification product at the sequence in each target region of the ten bacterial strains. Nucleic acid chromatography is performed using, as the probe pair set, a first probe-bound labeled polymer carrier to which a first probe of multiple pneumonia bacteria is bound and an immobilized second probe-supporting development support.
