Title:
METHOD OF DETECTING AND QUANTIFYING HEMOLYSIN−PRODUCING BACTERIA BY OVERWHELMINGLY DETECTING AND QUANTIFYING THERMOSTABLE HEMOLYSIN−RELATED GENES &lpar tdh−RELATED HEMOLYSIN GENES&rpar OF FOOD POISONING BACTERIA
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/033702
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Genes of thermostable direct hemolysin proteins [which mean TDH, TRH and hemolytic proteins analogous thereto&semi hereinafter referred to as TDH−related hemolysins] produced by pathogenic bacteria belonging to the genus Vibrio are conveniently and quickly detected, quantified and classified. Namely, a method whereby TDH−related hemolysin−producing bacteria per se, which are important in the management of food sanitation, can be detected and quantified. Using a pair of primers containing a gene sequence encoding an amino acid sequence common to TDH and TRH, TDH−related hemolysin genes are overwhelmingly detected and quantified. Thus, TDH−related hemolysin−producing bacteria per se can be detected and quantified.
