Title:
METHOD FOR DETECTING VARIANT OF BRASSICA OLERACEA PLANT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/035480
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for detecting a heteroploid of a Brassica oleracea plant, the method including carrying out real time PCR using DNA extracted from a sample from a Brassica oleracea plant of interest as a template and using DNA markers respectively specific to at least two chromosomes of a Brassica oleracea plant to obtain a relative difference in amplification levels between the DNA markers, and then detecting chromosomal aneuploidy from the relative difference. According to the present invention, it becomes possible to detect a variant (chromosomal heteroploidy) that may occur in Brassica oleracea varieties simply, accurately and rapidly in a laboratory or the like which has common molecular biological skills in the course of the management of quality of seeds or the study on breeding.
