Abstract:
According to methods known in prior art, a parameter (K) which depends on the acceleration of the internal combustion engine is determined by means of a monitoring and analyzing system and is compared with a threshold value (S). According to the inventive method, the spread of said acceleration-dependent parameter (K) is used for adjusting the threshold value to changes in the smoothness of running of the internal combustion engine.
