Abstract:
Every node of a determined alternative route stores the information on the two preceding nodes packet routes. The number of pieces of information required for switching to one node from the preceding node on the alternative route is set at the individual nodes in upstream sequence from the last node. Such information is sent upstream, together with the corresponding information at the starting node. Based on the received information on the corresponding packet route, the starting node updates its information table for the packet route according to the information determined by the downstream nodes.
