Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for determining a bromine-based flame retardant, in which light is directed onto an determination subject made of resin, reflected light from the determination subject onto which light has been directed is detected, the absorption spectrum of the determination subject is calculated based on the reflected light, and whether or not a bromine-based flame retardant is contained in the determination subject is determined based on the absorption spectrum of at least one wavelength band from among the wavelength band from 1.42 µm to 1.44 µm, the wavelength band from 1.45 µm to 1.47 µm, the wavelength band from 1.66 µm to 1.68 µm, the wavelength band from 1.72 µm to 1.74 µm, the wavelength band from 1.92 µm to 1.94 µm, the wavelength band from 2.11 µm to 2.12 µm, the wavelength band from 2.17 µm to 2.20 µm, and the wavelength band from 2.31 µm to 2.34 µm, in the absorption spectrum of the determination subject.
