Abstract:
This invention provides a method for determining and exhibiting relative changes of the elastic modulus and relative changes of the density in the subsurface rocks, and a method for finding petroleum and natural gas, especially directly predicating natural gas and light oil by these relative changes. The relative changes of the elastic modulus is relative changes of Lame's constant 'DELTA''lambda'/('lambda'+(2'mu'), relative changes of the shear modulus 'DELTA''mu'/('lambda'+2'mu'), and/or 'DELTA''mu'/['kappa'+(4/3'mu'], and changes of the bulk modulus 'DELTA''kappa'/['kappa'+(4/3'mu')], and the relative changes of the density is 'DELTA''rho'/'rho'.
