Abstract:
A method for determining the feasibility of non-pillar gob-side roof-caving roadway formation, comprising: step I, determining an immediate roof thickness MZ and a burial depth W, and calculating a roadway gob-side lateral hanging roof length L; step II, calculating the height H of a wall body formed by means of accumulation after immediate roof caving, and calculating a minimum permissible wall body height Hmin (Hmin1 and Hmin2) of roof-caving roadway formation; and step III, comparing the roadway gob-side lateral hanging roof length L with a given maximum permissible hanging roof length Lmax of roof-caving roadway formation, enabling L to be less than Lmax, comparing the height H of the wall body with the minimum permissible wall body heights Hmin1 and Hmin2 of roof-caving roadway formation on the basis that L is less than Lmax, and if H is greater than max{Hmin1, Hmin2}, determining that a working face can be constructed by means of non-pillar gob-side roof-caving roadway formation. The method is simple and easy, facilitates determining of engineering personnel before construction, and can be used for accurately determining whether non-pillar gob-side roof-caving roadway formation construction meets construction conditions. If the construction conditions are met, a roadway formed may have a relatively good effect and meets stoping requirements of the next working face.
