Title:
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE MOTOR OIL TEMPERATURE IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2001044643
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
According to the invention the motor oil temperature (TOIL) is determined by means of a model generation, whereby the input parameters for the model are drawn from, at least one parameter which characterises the operating point of the internal combustion engine (TCO, N, MAF) and at least one parameter, which represents the environmental conditions of the internal combustion engine and/or the motor vehicle (TIA, TAM, VS). The model takes account of dynamic temperature changes, through temperature gradients due to heat transfer processes between components of the internal combustion engine, as well as between the internal combustion engine and the surroundings thereof.
