Abstract:
A method for determining a random access radio network temporary identity (RA-RNTI), user equipment (UE), and a base station. The method comprises: UE obtains, by using a broadcast message, information that is about physical random access channel (PRACH) distribution and that is sent by a base station, and selects a PRACH sending a random access preamble; the UE determines, according to a mapping relationship between PRACHs in the PRACH distribution and RA-RNTI values, an RA-RNTI value corresponding to the PRACH sending the random access preamble. The solution of the present application can reduce the number of RA-RNTI values needed by a system, and saves RA-RNTI value resources.
