Abstract:
Provided are: a method for determining a raw material shape, said method being capable of providing the raw material shape necessary for processing a material having a prescribed shape; a system and program for determining the raw material shape; and a processing method for processing a material from a raw material having said shape. A method for generating a numerical control program includes steps S12, S14, S16, and S18. In step S12, information related to the shape of a material is acquired. In step S14, the shape of a flange is categorized on the basis of the acquired information related to the shape of the material. In step S16, a gripping part for gripping the material during processing of the material is set on the basis of the acquired information related to the shape of the material and flange categorization information. In step S18, the raw material shape necessary for processing the material is calculated on the basis of the acquired information related to the shape of the material, the flange categorization information, and gripping part setting information.
