Abstract:
The present invention realizes a method and a device with which it is possible to determine, more accurately than in the prior art, a tumor site from a sample that includes connective tissue including an autofluorescent substance. The present invention acquires: image data Ic that corresponds to the intensity distribution of light received via a filter Fc for transmitting light of wavelength band λc, which includes part of the wavelength band of fluorescence emitted by porphyrins, from among the light emitted by the sample; and image data Isi (i=1, 2,..., n) that corresponds to the intensity distribution of light received via a filter Fsi (i=1, 2,..., n) for transmitting light of wavelength band λsi (i=1, 2,..., n), which includes part of the wavelength band of fluorescence emitted by n types of autofluorescent substances, from among the light emitted by the sample. Calculations are then performed on the basis of the image data Ic and Isi, thereby generating image data Ip that corresponds to the intensity distribution of fluorescence emitted by porphyrins from among the light emitted by the sample.
