Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air conditioner which determines when to replace a filter. The air conditioner according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a filter for filtering particles in the air which is sucked in; a first camera disposed so as to observe the state of the filter; and a control unit for analyzing images of the filter, obtained from the first camera, through a deep neural network model learned by means of machine learning and thereby determining the level of contamination of the filter. The control unit herein may be configured to determine when the filter should be replaced, on the basis of at least the degree of contamination of the filter, and may be further configured to determine when to replace the filter, by additionally using pieces of information collected from different electronic devices in the environment of the Internet of Things connected via the 5G communication environment.
