Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method and device for acquiring an identifier of a terminal device. The method comprises: a gateway node receives a first message transmitted by a terminal device and transmits a second message to a control plane node, both the first message and the second message carrying a temporary identifier of the terminal device; the gateway node receives a third message transmitted by the control plane node, the third message being transmitted by the control plane node when a permanent identifier of the terminal device could not be acquired; the gateway node transmits a fourth message to the terminal device on the basis of the third message; the gateway node receives a fifth message transmitted by the terminal device, the fifth message carrying the permanent identifier of the terminal device; and the gateway node transmits the permanent identifier to the control plane node on the basis of the fifth message. In the present application, even if a context of the terminal device is not acquired by the control plane node, same can be forwarded via the gateway node to acquire the permanent identifier, thus allowing the terminal device to be provided with the possibility of successfully accessing a network.
