Abstract:
A method and device (900) for automatic discovery of medical knowledge. The method comprises acquiring a linking concept having a semantic relationship with a starting concept (S110, S610), wherein the starting concept represents a disease; subsequently acquiring target concepts having a semantic relationship with the linking concept from a medical literature database (S120, S620) and calculating an association level of the target concepts with respect to the starting concept (S130, S630), wherein the association level indicates a probability the target concepts correspond to the starting concept; and further sorting the target concepts on the basis of the association level (S140, S640). The method can be used to obtain an explainable target concept by means of semantic analysis, and to increase the likelihood of discovering useful medical knowledge via sorting of the target concepts.
