Abstract:
A method for automatic prompting of an overtaking action of a vehicle and a device for automatic prompting of an overtaking action of a vehicle, the method comprising the following steps: step 1, acquiring an image of lateral front sides of a vehicle; step 2, analyzing, by means of an image recognition method, whether the acquired image of the lateral front sides of the vehicle comprises an object to be overtaken; and step 3, if the analysis result in step 2 indicates that the acquired image comprises an object to be overtaken, providing an overtaking prompt. The present invention implements the automatic providing of a sound/light prompt when a vehicle is to overtake an object to be overtaken, so as to arouse the attention of the object to be overtaken, thereby indirectly reducing the probability of the occurrence of traffic accidents due to that the object to be overtaken is careless in looking around.
