Abstract:
The invention provides a method and device for calling an emergency contact number by a communication terminal. The calling method comprises the steps of: setting a call button on a communication terminal as an emergency contact number; detecting whether the call button satisfies one of the following trigger conditions: 1) the call button receives a long press operation; and 2) a number of times of pressing the call button within a time threshold is greater than a threshold number of times preset in the communication terminal; and, if so, the communication terminal performing a call operation on the emergency contact number associated with the call button. The technical solution of the invention allows for calling of an emergency contact number by operation of only one button, supports a variety of button triggering modes, and allows a user to set multiple emergency contact numbers.
