Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device capable of verifying the sending time of an electronic mail. The method capable of verifying the sending time of an electronic mail comprises the steps of: sending a mail to at least one client receiving the mail (S10); making a request for obtaining a trusted time stamp of a third-party time stamp server (S20); determining whether the trusted time stamp is obtained (S30); and if so, signing the trusted time stamp by means of a digital certificate of a client sending the mail, and adding the trusted time stamp to a mail header of the sent mail (S31). The method ensures the accuracy and reliability of the sending time of an electronic mail and facilitates verification.
